Paperless learning is one of the evidence of technological development. With the constant improvement of electronic products such as ipads and macbook, apps such as notion, goodnotes and notability, students are able to organize their learning resources and notes more efficiently.

In addition, many teaching materials are now digitally accessible online, and educators are now able to build a comprehensive teaching system on the internet. In addition, paperless learning saves trees, relieving the pressure on our natural environment.

At the same time, traditional paper-based teaching still cannot be completely abandoned, both because of the huge impact that paperless teaching may bring to the traditional publishing industry, and also because learning with paper and pencil allows students to concentrate better, especially for secondary school students who have less self-control compared to college students, considering the various distractions on the internet. From this point of view, 100% paperless teaching is not desirable for K12 education in China.

However, it is undeniable that technology products have the absolute advantages of being instant, efficient and permanent. So how can we combine paperless and paper-based teaching to complement each other's strengths and weaknesses, so that technology products can be used as an auxiliary tool without replacing traditional paper-based teaching? Together the mix of technology and paper-based teaching can better motivate students and improve learning efficiency.
